Mark Zuckerberg, the mastermind behind the social networking giant ‘Facebook’ unleashed yet another prudent move by entering into the smart phones market. Working in collaboration with London based ‘INQ’ it finally unveiled the first ‘Facebook Phone’, all set to be launched in April this year. The phone eyes the persons in age group 18-28 years as its target customers.
The newly launched android phones INQ Cloud Touch and Cloud Q offers facebook multimedia posts video clips, photos, updates and contents at the home screen. These provide one touch links to the popular facebook features such as chat messaging ,notifications ,wall postings & friendlists.’Facebook places’ the special feature that allows the user to check into various stores, restaurants and other spots and Facebook’s calendar based services are also integrated into the home screens for easy accessibility to the users.
The INQ cloud touch powered by Qualcomm 600MHz 7227 chipset features 3.5-inch touch screen whereas INQ cloud Q has a 2.6 inch screen with a Qwerty keypad. The phone has built in Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, an FM radio ,an accelerometer and a compass.
Cloud touch will be available in April in the UK from Carphone Warehouse Group Plc & Best Buy Co whereas Cloud Q is expected to hit markets in the third quarter.The cost though yet to be revealed is expected to be kept low keeping in mind the target customers age group.
