HP Palm WebOS Loses to iOS and Android: WebOS Saga

HP WebOS

When HP bought Palm last year, the big smartphone players thought that they’ve got competition. Although HP made it clear that it was not interested in the smartphone business, everyone knew they were playing safe. And so the webOS powered devices hit the market like the HP TouchPad, Pre series and the veer. But all failed to satisfy consumer taste. The “cards” like interactive design in the TouchPad was good but the lethargic device response or “slowness” as it is said, justified as to why it was considered overpriced.

Google TV Comes with Cool Apps, Internet and TV

As said in my previous article, the need for any business to survive is to invest and expand. Every “static” business dies a slow death following the competition in market as new competitors are born offering the same product or a better and/or cheaper alternative. Google TV is Google’s take on the entertainment device that has over four billion users – the television, much higher than those in computers and mobiles.

Not only this you can even edit your documents online with your iPad. Interesting ain’t it!!!

Intel Thunderbolt – High Speed Data Transfer Technology

Ever since the USB 1.1 more precisely, the USB 2.0, came out, I thought that “this is it”, great speed over the conventional PS2 port and also multi device support that makes connectivity with other peripherals simple and subtle. Although it only increased my expectations to a higher level and I knew something better would definitely come but that was “the thing” for that moment. Simple plug and play, ain’t it.

IBM’s Watson in Jeopardy

Artificial intelligence is the “thing” of the future. With programmers trying to give a thinking brain to dumb robots, developing algorithms to match human brain, the world of AI is evolving towards a smarter goal. You must have seen ASIMO, the advanced humanoid robot made by Honda, the very thought that ASIMO can walk, leave it playing football, gives me goosebumps.
